Favourite names!
Do you already have names planned for any future children or names you would like but perhaps your other half doesnt? Any regrets about a choice of name or are there names you would definately not use??
Re: Favourite names!
The ones I wouldn't use, are names which remind me of someone I didn't like, for example, I was bullied by a julie at primary school, so I'd never call my child julie.
I love the name Grace, but I recently had a patient called Grace, who was horrible, so I've been put off that one too!
I'm keen to use names whihc are already in the family-my Dad was Lawrence, my Grandad, and younger brother have Lawrence as they're middle names, and so will Biggles if s/he is a boy.
The Girls have Ann, and whilst I'm not keen on that as a name, I may use it in another form-Anna, or Hannah.

Re: Favourite names!
I don't really like Lachlan :( I've kinda gone off it now, I'm hoping he'll grow into it and at the moment I just call him baby or the baby, I rarely use his name. Not a lot I can do about it now though :(
I do particulary like my other 3's names though but their dad was far easier going and liked the abstract and obscure things I came out with whereas sean wanted a plain normal name (I'm not plain or normal and people expected Cerys to have a stupid name like moonbeam or rainbow lol)

Re: Favourite names!
For boy's for us it's really easy, I'd have Ron Douglas, or Martin Douglas(Ron is my dad and Martin is the begining of my old surname. Douglas is John's second name)
For girls I like Amber and Rachael. But the girls names change all the time.
What about you, Tai? What will you call the next one?

Re: Favourite names!
We are sticking with the same theme (Idealy) so Seph is Joseph which is shortened to Seph, an example of a girl is Charlotte, called Lottie, or Isabella called Bella, although they are not what we want we have choosen our girls name and but not another boy, for some reason we keep thinking it'll be a girl next.

Honestly I dont know!!!
Boys I like Lucas and Jacob but my brothers are luke and jake so its too close for me lol!! I love Codey but can you imagine Codey Coe (my surname) or Codey Macey? Nah dont think so!! I also love Wyatt (goes well with both surnames I think) but am so unsure.
As for girls.... Iv no idea! I dont want a name that can be shortened so something that sounds horrible. Im just so fussy cos I love my name and want my children to have something thats not too unusual but not really common either.
I do like Amelia but its becomming so popular.....
I think Dean and I need to chat lol!!
Re: Favourite names!
It is a nightmare!
Before i was pregnant, I never understood why people had babies and still hadn't agreed on names-now its my turn I can really sympathise! We can't even get a top 3 together that we agree on!!!

Re: Favourite names!
We cant agree on boys names.. but we have plenty of time!!
I like Nathan and Josh, leigh doesnt!!
We have a girls name picked, is nothing unusual and I keep thinking no one will like it, so we have kept it to ourselves!!

Re: Favourite names!
I still like the name Benjamin but it took me ages to get used to it as we still called him 'Rigla' when he was born. Now, everyone seems to be calling hin Ben, but I've got used to calling him Benjamin now.
I'm really glad we didn't have a girl as we would have called her Keira, which I think is a lovely name, but really doesn't go with our surname of Hunt (K Hunt!!!). If have a feeling that we would have changed that name before getting 'her' registerd!

Re: Favourite names!
I had loads of name on my list but Phil did not like most of them x
It was really hard choosing the boys names, LOL, thats what you get with having so many x
If I could go back now ... I would not name Robbie, Robbie, I am not that keen on the name ... he is actually a Robbie and not Robert. I am not sure what I would have called him though.
As for Oliver I do love the name but I wish I had called him Oscar, as I so love the name, but an ex friend talked me out of it :( wish I had not listened. Although I do think the name Oliver suits him.
As for the girls names I had loads on my list but sadly never got to use them :(
