Embarrassig moments

Did you have a embarrassing moment while in labour or just a funny thing happen?

I will tell mine later...

The only thing with me was when I was in the very very last stages of labour and in so much pain and had no urge to push, the Dr came in and said - can I examine you - I said "I don't care if Captain Birdseye delivers this baby, just get it out now!!" LOL x

I think my whole pregnancy was embarrassing!! Every man and his dog has seen up my skirt!

Thought it would be but when I had Naj I was so interested in meeting him that I didn't care that there were 10 people in the room as I had a catheter shoved in and lay there nearly naked. At the time you just don't give a monkey's do you?

Whilst I was in labour being examined the sandwich lady came round and was shouting through all the different flavours of sandwiches she had available through the curtain. The midwife didn't find it very amusing.

I think the look of shock on the cleaners face when she walked in and your legs were in stirrups was a classic Hayley!!

hehe apparently my mothers dentist walked past while her feet were in stirrups with me as his wife had been giving birth in the opposite bed the day before lol

my god if the public had been able to see me giving birth I'd have been fuming.

When I first got to the birthing unit I was on my way back from the toilet having done my wee sample when I bumped into a bloke I used to hang around with. I was inbetween contractions (2 minutes apart) and he obviously didn't realise I was in labour and wanted to chat. I remember being all disorientated though and kinda stumbled off before another contraction.

Also while I was having my stitches (Still using gas and air) I told my midwife that she looked like Duffy from Casulty, don't know if anyone remembers but duffy was a ginger haired nurse, well my midwife was a rather large black lady! But I was talking about her uniform and apron but it just didn't come out right. There were lots of people in the room to hear it too.

Think the only thing I found even slightly embarrassing was being told my brother and sister in law were coming. I hadn't realsied how huge my boobs would become and the nightdress I had packed was just not big enough...had it done up but it was straining so much I might as well have left it open. Luckily only his sister was able to make it in the end as his brother had to work...only reason I was slightly embarrassed about the thought of him seeing me like that was he used to be my manager at work.
