Re: How long between babies?
we're not trying yet but cam will be nearly 4 before by the time we start trying, which i think is a good gap as he'll be just old enough to understnad and can help so he wont feel left out
Re: How long between babies?
Well Matthew will be 5 in August ( OMG where has the time gone??!!) and we hope to concieve in the next few months.I wouldnt have left it so long only we bought a new house, got married etc. Id like to have 3 children I think so Id like to wait maybe 2 pr 3 years to try for the third.

Re: How long between babies?
My parents waited 5 years between me and my brother!
Pauls dad is one extreme or the other! 9 Year diff between Paul and his 1st brother, then 1 year diff between 2nd brother from 1st. Then he had the twins which is a 25 year diff between Paul and the Twins!

Re: How long between babies?
i hope my kids will be close, cameron is 3 now, and he'll be nearly 4 by the time we get started. im a little worried that they wont get on coz my mum had a daughter with her husband when i was 4 and we never got on (constant fights as if we were brothers) me and my dads daughter are fairly close but i've never had to live with her so im a little worried
Re: How long between babies?

Re: How long between babies?
I have 2years and 3months between my girls but 11.5 months from shay to breckin and ther's a 3.5yr gap from him to this baby which makes Cerys 6.5 almost 7.
There's 2 years from my big bro to me and 5 years between me and my wee bro and 7 from me to my sister and we get on well, I woke up when my mum went into labour with Kevin and always said he was my baby so I have a closer bond with him than with my other siblings.

Re: How long between babies?
There is 4 years between me and my brother though I think my parents would have liked a smaller gap. There is 3 years between Clive and his brother.
I haven't though about gaps between children myself as I always thought we would have one.

Re: How long between babies?
Thers 3 years between me and my youngest brother, awe're not close, but I htink thats the way our family is rather than an age thing. The other siblings are a big jump above me, they'rea ll half siblings, I'm fairly close to the next one up from me, he's 16 years older. The 5 of us span 32 years in total!
Ask em again when I've had this one, if I can face it all again with a second one!

Hubby and I have just been talking about when to try for baby number 2. Benjamin is now 5.5 months old. Some days I try want to start trying straight away and other days I feel as though I would be taking something away from him by having another baby so soon. Does that make sense????
My head is all over the place. I always though a gap of about a year and a half would be quite nice, but that would mean us ttc in around 3 months time

Re: How long between babies?
Yes it does.
I have a friend who is due afew days before me, and is still breast feeding her first (who is 18 months I think), so if you want me to pick her brains on that one, i will for you.
Good luck whatever you decide xxx

A year and a half does sound like a good gap but I dont think I could be pregnant with him still so young! Id love to but I dont know how Id cope, especially if I was as ill as last time!!
A friend of mine fell when her eldest was 1yr 1/2 and said it was ideal. Her daughter was out of nappies and slept through the night by the time she had her youngest, so she found it quite easy!!
Re: How long between babies?
Idealy Seph will be about a year when we conceive number 2, but that is provided we fall as easily as before, knowing my luck it will take us ages now and I'll have a huge gap.

Re: How long between babies?
There's three years between my two girls and they fight like cat and dog at times but then at other times they are very close. Three years was a nice gap cos Kiera was out of nappies and starting nursery so I got to spend a little bit of time each day just with Katy which was nice. Also kiera was old enough to understand she was getting a new baby. Now we're trying for number three and Katy is nearly four so she will be at school by the time another baby comes along.
