Has anyone been playing music to the baby?

I heard recently that playing classical music is calming for the baby so my poor wee one is probably wondering what the heck is going on as he has been exposed to Scissor Sisters (live), Keane (live), The Police (live), Take That (live) and The Proclaimers (live). He has also had to endure me listening to The Fray, Embrace, The Cardigans, James and a million other artists in between. Add to that he has had the X Factor and now American Idol torturing him!

He's going to come out very confused about music!

At least baby will come out with a varied music taste!!

My sister listens to a lot of dance music and once her baby boy arrived he settles down if she plays dance music!

We played lullabyes every night while we slept (Only through the cd once mind!) and then when Seph was born we played them while he was having his first cuddle with daddy (Which was pretty much straight after being born)

I remember reading somewhere that Classical music somehow makes your child bright if played to whilst in the womb and when he/she is relaxing... I'll try and figure out where I read it, I was just talking to Tai about this the other night.
